(Rwanda, Burundi and the Kivu provinces of DR Congo). The booklet specifically focuses on how producer organisations innovated and better positioned themselves in agricultural value chains to benefit the livelihoods of their members.

Now, according to the the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP), smallholder farmers’ unions are a key component to improving the lives of millions of rural farmers across the world.
